Mga Studyante na NagRally sa Congress, Pinalabas at Inaresto

A lightning rally against the extension of martial law in Mindanao briefly disrupts the interpellation inside the Batasang Pambansa. The students broke the protocol of Congress so they removed inside the Batasang Pambansa.

After tha incident, KABATAAN PARTYLIST made a statement of their party. Here is what they say:

EARLIER: After staging a lightning rally in Congress, youth leaders, including 3 volunteer teachers from ALCADEV INC., were dragged out of Congress and the House Speaker has commanded to have them charged with cases. UPDATE: The 8 arrested youth leaders will be brought to Camp Crame for medical procedures as part of the investigation. (from College Editors Guild of the Philippines)

We condemn this affront on the protests of the youth leaders and especially the 3 volunteer teachers who directly experienced militarization in Mindanao. The state never thinks twice in answering their just demand with harassment and violence. Martial law indeed hounds us anew.

We call for the immediate release of the #Kabataan8: namely ALCADEV teachers Chad Booc, Kenneth Cadiang and Yasser Gutierrez, UP students Almira Abril, Renz Pasigpasigan and Michael Villanueva, DLSU student Vince Simon, and PUP student JP Rosos. The interpellations in the ongoing proceedings have exposed AFP's perseverence in extending their era of abuses and violations thru the extension of martial law in Mindanao.
